Returns, Refunds & Exchange Policies

No refunds are issued, only store credit. Please take this into consideration before placing your order.

How To Return An Item:

Unless there is a manufacturer defect, your item must be in its original unused condition to be returned for an exchange or credit. You must return the item within 30 days of your purchase (your postmark will act as proof of date sent).

  1. Please email returns@darkstarstore.com to request an exchange or credit and we will assign you a transaction number.
  2. Mail your returned item to:

    Returns must be postmarked no later than 30 days after your purchase.
  3. Include in your package a signed letter stating the reason for your return and a printout of the original receipt. Also include your transaction number.

Return Exceptions:

Soundtrack Albums and Video Games may not be returned if they are opened unless they are defective. Defective items will be exchanged and replaced at no charge with free shipping. Merchandise that has been worn, used, or altered in any way will not be accepted for return or exchange.

Minimum System Requirements for Video Game:

IMPORTANT: BE SURE TO CHECK your system for minimum requirements before purchasing a Video Game. Exchange and/or credit will not be granted if your operating system does not meet these requirements, only if it is defective from the manufacturer, or returned unopened.

Restocking Fee:

Returned items are subject to a 10% restocking fee and will be deducted from your credit. We also do not refund the original shipping and handling paid on the order. This does not apply if the item is deemed defective and/or damaged in shipping, in which case the item will be exchanged and shipped to you free of charge.

Exchanges:

Apparel: If your item of apparel item is in like new condition, you may exchange the item for a different size. You will not be subject to a restocking fee in this case, but you must pay return shipping.

Music or Video Games: If your item is defective in any way, you may exchange it for a new one. Please specify in writing the defect and enclose with your returned item. If the item is indeed defective, you will not be charged a restocking fee or return shipping.

Downloaded items: If you have difficulty downloading your pdf, contact us at downloads@darkstarstore.com and we will send you a new link to receive your item. Be sure to include your order number in the email.

Autographed items: Be sure you carefully order your “autographed” items. We offer three different types of these.

  1. Pre-printed, signed photos: These are NOT signed by the actor. Be aware the signatures are pre-printed, not hand-signed.
  2. Autographed, signed photos: These are personally hand-signed by each actor in advance of your order and kept in stock.
  3. Personalized, autographed photos: These are personally hand-signed by each actor directly to you based on the data you enter in the white field at the time you place your order. These items take slightly longer to process as the request must be sent to the actor for their inscription.

Charges:

Your will be charged when you place your order. If we are not able to fulfill your order for any reason your account will be credited with a refund.

Shipping Policy

Turnaround:

All orders are shipped within 48 hours Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.

Carriers:

We use the USPS to deliver our orders. International shipping will be slightly higher.

We do not currently support shipping to APO and FPO customers.

Shipping Rates:

The rate charged for the shipping of your order is based on USPS Flat-Rate Shipping fees. Before the final checkout page you will be shown the shipping costs for your items and you will have the opportunity to cancel your order if you decide to do so. Shipping fees may change at any time without notice.

Back Orders:

If an item goes on back order we will ship you the part of your order that is in stock. When the item becomes available we will ship you the rest of your order. You will not be charged any additional shipping and handling for the second shipment. If the item is discontinued permanently, you will be issued an immediate refund.

Privacy Policy

We take your privacy SERIOUSLY and will take all measures to protect your personal information.

What Information Do We Collect?

We collect ONLY information that we need that is related directly to your order.

In addition we also collect information on your IP address, browser type, and Refer URL data. We use this data to prevent hacking attempts, help us know what web browsers people are using, and find out where our visitors are coming from so that we can improve our marketing efforts.

Your information is ONLY used to fill your order. We do not sell or redistribute your information to ANYONE.

Security and Storage:

Only your order data billing, shipping, and order contents data is stored on our server. This information is encrypted using a Secure Sockets Layer before it is transmitted over a web server. We never store your Credit Card data.

Cookies and Browser Information:

Cookies are small files that reside on your computer and allow us to recognize you on your next visit or store your shopping cart contents. We use them only to track this information to better serve you and our other customers.
